First Step is an organization that provides a helping and healing response to domestic and sexual violence in Wayne County Michigan. First Step provides 24-hour response, shelter, counseling, children's services, legal information, transitional housing, system change and prevention education to 16,000 people per year. All services offered by First Step at no charge to survivors.
