Bring Back the Beanie Babies!

Okay- maybe the Beanie Baby will never make a comeback- And those cute little investments never did pay off. I just went thru about 50 Beanies that my mom had collected for me and thought- what can I do with these?! I can't see throwing them out as much as we don't need the clutter. Here is what I decided:

I am keeping some of the Beanies that are distinct animals- Pig, dog, cat, zebra, elephant. What am I doing with these? Well, these are PERFECT teaching aids for my daughter! We read a book and I pull out Beanies that are the same as in the book! I point to the animal in the book and say "Pig," then I reach for the pig Beanie and say again "Pig." It has really helped and I can see her understand more! She now gets: Zebra, Bird, dog and sometimes elephant.

The rest of the cute animals I am donating to a local shelter for kids.

Shopping Cart Cover

One of the best things that I own is a shopping cart/high chair cover. I actually own two right now. The first one is a blue one, but it is very cumbersome to place in the cart. It actually is not big enough to go around the back of the shopping cart. Another thing is it doesn't fit too well into the high chair. The second one I have is again a little too short around the back and places that have high carts it tends not to fit.

Again, I am learning a lesson too late! Now I am going to invest in the best cart cover I have seen thus far. Not only is it easy to use, it is less cumbersome than others and the plush fabrics and colors are just amazing. Here are a few pictures of ours- I am getting the black and white one! If you really like any of these let me know and I can get you one before our site is up! The black and white reverse to red. The Leopard reverses to hot pink, The skulls reverse to black and the camo reverses to green.

A Great Pair of Jeans

I love my old jeans and I love getting new ones. I decided that my next shopping investment will be a nice trendy pair of jeans. I am really excited and have been doing some research :) I came across this awesome site called TrueJeans.com and you put in all your measurements and it picks out some jeans for you with that information. Try it out and let me know what you think!

Rock Star Baby Boys

Okay- maybe I am the only one, but I have never heard of the brand Kingsley. They are big in Chicago and I was there over the weekend. I saw their new summer line and it is SUPER cute. I have never seen anything like it! I LOVE it! Hopefully if all goes well with our application, we will be selling their clothing at Little Hipster.

I love their clothes! They had the cutest boy clothes I have ever seen! Right now they only offer a few items for girls, but hopefully they will expand their line. They have designs on the front and on the back and the tags were little concert tickets! So original! Take a look at there line and see for yourself. The Summer items are not on their site yet, but hopefully they will be on ours!

The trendy child

My daughter is officially more trendy than I am! She was dressed in the cutest outfit the other day. I had her in her One-of-a-Kind onesie courtesy of Little Hipster and a hip little black jacket. When I removed her winter jackets I hear an array of awe's and "How cute is that?" I look at my trendy child and smile. Then I realize that I have on a sweatshirt with food along the shoulder (for texture) and jeans that are tattered. Right then and there I decided that I need a little boost! I realize that I often pay more attention to making my baby look fab that I neglect myself! I found a great blog that is updated regularly with fashion tips to help you look fab.

Now it is important to have your kids sport cute outfits, but you can't follow them around looking like their nanny!
