Moving from bottle to sippy cup

Experts recommend that you can stop giving baby a bottle around the age of 1. The longer the baby stays on the bottle the harder it will be to transition to a cup.
To do this, you need to help your baby learn to start drinking from a sippy cup. Introducing the sippy cup between the ages of 6-9 months will help make your child a pro by 12 months!
My daughter is about 13 months and still does not have the hang of using a sippy cup. What I have found works well for her is a straw. She doesn't quite understand the point of leaning her head back to drink from the cup, so the straw solves that issue! There are many brands out there that make a straw sippy cup. There are also cups that have lids with a little hole for a straw. I have a set of tumbler cups from Tupperware that work great for her and are large enough that we can use them as well.
